Banana Pudding Cheesecake Pie

I just love kicking off the beginning of summer with a backyard BBQ, going to the beach or enjoying a picnic with family and friends!! 

How do you celebrate your Memorial Day?

When the days get warmer I know many people don’t like to turn on the oven and I myself love no bake desserts for the summer.

My banana pudding cheesecake will be the perfect addition to your summer celebrations.  

Ingredients 

1 14oz can of sweet condensed milk

1 2.25 oz mini vanilla wafers 

1 3.4 oz box of vanilla pudding 

2 cups of milk 

1 8oz block of cream cheese 

1/2 cup of confectioners sugar 

1 8oz tub of cool whip 

1-2 bananas 

2 6oz Ready Graham Pie Crust

Instructions 

Blend the cream cheese and confectioners sugar together in a large bowl until creamy 

Add pudding, milk, cool whip, and condensed milk and mix well 

After mixture is nice and creamy add to pie crust.

Slice bananas and lay around the top of the mixture. Lay mini vanilla wafers around the pie to make the pie pretty!

This easy pie is so good and creamy!! I hope you enjoy it with family and friends this summer!!!


Easy Chicken Pot Pie

Spring is here and it’s almost time for backyard bbq’s and lemonade!!! I wanted to get a comfort recipe in before the weather gets really warm!   

We all need a recipe Rolodex with some quick and easy recipes for dinner.  My chicken pot pie is here to save the day.  Who doesn’t love chicken pot pie? It is so rich, creamy, and just down right delicious!! My recipe is loaded with chicken, vegetables, and ready made pie crust. It is a perfect recipe for comfort food and easy to make.  You can even freeze this simple and easy recipe!
Ingredients 

3 chicken breast

1 can of corn

1 can of green beans 

1 can of carrots

1 can of diced white potatoes 

1 large can of family size of cream of chicken 

1 2pack of pre-made pie crust 
Instructions 

Season chicken with your favorite seasonings and bring chicken to a boil.  I usually boil my chicken in chicken broth or and water.  

After chicken is done, allow it to cool and cut up in small pieces or shred it.  Mix all vegetables, chicken, and cream of chicken together in a boiler. Pour mixture in pie crust and cut your second pie crust in pieces and lay on top.
Bake pie for 45 minutes to an hour on 350 or until crust is golden brown.

Taco Dip

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend!! We are one week away from one of the biggest games of the year! Next week at this time everyone will be cheering for their favorite NFL team for Super Bowl 51.
I am so excited to share a new dip recipe with you but sad because I totally forgot to take a picture before everyone started digging in.

This taco dip is absolutely delicious and so easy to make.  I apologize in advance for helping you break your diet plans!
Ingredients 

1 Pound of ground turkey or beef

1 16oz of refried beans

1 4oz can of diced green chilies 

1 pack of mild McCormick taco seasoning mix

1 8oz block of cream cheese 

1 cup of shredded Mexican cheese
Instructions 

Fry your ground turkey or beef in a skillet until brown. Drain grease from the meat and add your pack of taco seasoning and follow directions on the package.

After your meat is seasoned with the taco seasoning add your meat to a baking dish mix in your refried beans and green chilies until all ingredients are mixed well together. 

Add your cream cheese to the top of your meat mixture and bake on 350 until cream cheese is soft enough to spread across the whole top of the dip. Add the cup of shredded cheese and put back in the oven just long enough for the shredded cheese to melt.

Serve dip with tortilla chips!

DIY New Years Eve Centerpiece 

Happy Hump Day!! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and are getting ready for an epic New Years Eve and New Years Day!! Can you believe 2016 is almost over? 

I am all about setting the tone for any event and one way to set the tone is the right decoration! 

I have the easiest diy centerpiece for your NYE celebration!!

What you will need:
One large martini glass

2-4 party horns

Ribbon

2017 glasses 

Happy New Year Hat

NYE party beads

5-6 ornaments 

1 large mirror piece


Hash brown Cassorole 

 

It is time for comfort food and nothing says comfort like a good casserole.   I had a craving for a breakfast casserole one morning and this is how the hash brown casserole was created.  My recipe is inspired from the hash brown casserole recipe from Cracker Barrel.  This casserole is so easy but yet taste so good!  It would be prefect for a brunch or Christmas morning breakfast.  I hope you enjoy the recipe!

 

 

 

Ingredients

1 26oz bag of shredded potatoes

1 stick of melted butter

1/4 cup of chopped onion

2 cups of shredded cheese

2 cups of sour cream

Instructions

Mix all ingredients in a large bowl and stir well.  Spray a 9 x 13 baking pan with pam spray. Pour casserole into your baking dish and smooth.   Bake on 350 for 45  minutes to an hour.

 

 

 


Taco Salad Cassorole

I believe fall is for casseroles and comfort food.

It is such a pleasure to be a part of the Southern Women’s Show this year in Birmingham, AL.  I felt my taco salad casserole would the perfect fall dish to share with the audience.
I shared an easy taco salad casserole recipe on the cooking stage on Thursday.  It was a big hit and everyone loved it.  The guest were so excited to see how you can take a taco salad and turn it into a totally different meal by just substituting one ingredient.

My taco salad casserole recipe will be great for an easy week night meal, Cinco De Mayo, game day and many more.

 

Ingredients

1 8 oz can  original crescent roll

1 16 oz of ground turkey

2 cups of original shredded Velveeta cheese

1 package of McCormick Taco Season

1 can of Pam Spray

Instructions

Spray the glass baking dish with pam spray  and press the crescent rolls out in the glass baking dish. Bake the crescents on 350 until brown.

Fry the ground turkey until brown and drain the grease off.  Add your McCormick taco season to your ground turkey and follow instructions on the package.

Add your ground turkey on top of the crescents and sprinkle the shredded cheese on top.  Place the casserole back in the oven for 5-10 minutes or until the cheese has melted.

Optional Additional Toppings:  Lettuce, Tomatoes, Sour Cream, Taco Sauce, Jalapeno Peppers

 


Mini Poppy Seed Sliders

I just love party food and these little mini sliders are always a big hit at celebrations. I was first introduced to these sandwiches at a potluck for work and immediately loved them.  I had to get the recipe and turn it into my own.  They are the perfect little snack, so warm and gooey! Once you taste them you will love them too!

Mini Poppy Seed Sliders

1 Pack of 12 Hawaiian Rolls

¾ pound of Deli Meat (Turkey or Ham)

12 slices of Cheese (I have used Mozzarella, Havarti, Colby Jack and Sharp) they all work great!

1 stick of butter

1 tablespoon Brown Sugar

1 teaspoon Worcestershire’s sauce

2 tablespoons Honey Mustard

½- 1 teaspoon Minced Onion

Poppy Seeds

 

Open each roll and add a slice of deli meat of your choice on the bottom of the roll. Add a slice of cheese on each slider.  (You can cut cheese in half to fit on roll)  Add the top of the dinner rolls to each slider.

 

In a small sauce pan melt your butter and add the Brown sugar, Worcestershire’s sauce, honey mustard, and minced onion. Pour Butter mixture over the sliders and sprinkle poppy seeds on top after the butter mixture.  The butter will help the poppy seeds stick.

 

Bake in the oven on 350 F for 10-15 minutes’ or until cheese is melted and the sliders look yummy and gooey!!

 

Tips: Fresh Deli Meat is the best,  Try to serve them hot

 

 


Pecan Cobbler

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! Can you believe it is August?  It is back to school time already and summer is almost over! Wow!

I am so excited about this recipe because I had the pleasure of using Golden Eagle Syrup for a recipe contest. Golden Eagle Syrup is company based out of Fayette, AL.  The syrup is so delicious and has a wonderful honey taste.  It will go perfect with so many different recipes from homemade biscuits to pecan cobbler.  It reminds me of a southern tradition that can be shared with family and friends.  Golden Eagle is a wonderful product that will allow you to create memories through meals.

I decided to make this pecan cobbler and I am so glad I did because it turned out perfect. I think this will be the perfect dessert with fall right around the corner.

Pecan Cobbler

 Ingredients

2 pack deep dish pie crust

2 cups Golden Eagle Syrup

2 cups of light brown sugar

½ cup butter (melted)

5 teaspoons vanilla extract

6 large eggs (slightly beaten)

2 cups of chopped pecans

1 cup of pecan halves

Pam Cooking Spray (Butter Flavor)

 

Instructions

Heat Oven to 425 F. Spray a 13×9 inch glass baking dish with cooking spray. Remove 1 pie crust and press lightly covering the bottom of the baking dish.

In a large bowl, mix golden eagle syrup, brown sugar, butter, vanilla, and eggs well. Stir in chopped pecans. Spoon half of the filling into crust lined in baking dish. Remove the second pie crust from the pan and cut into strips and lay over filling.  Spray top crust with the butter-flavor cooking spray.  Bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until the crust browns.

Reduce oven temperature to 350 F. Spoon the remaining filling over the top baked crust; arrange pecan halves on top in a pretty design. Bake the second half for 30 to 45 minutes or until set.  Let the cobbler cool 20 minutes.

 

 

 


Ranch Cheeseball

I just love party food and this 3 ingredient cheese ball will be the perfect recipe for any celebration from a wine tasting party to a birthday party! It is super easy to make and delicious!
Ingredients

2 8oz blocks of cream cheese

1 pack Hidden Valley Dips Mix (The Original Ranch)
1 2oz bag of chopped pecans
Instructions

Sprinkle each block of cream cheese with the dry ranch powder on each side.  Put each block of cream cheese together and shape into a ball. Sprinkle the pecans all around the cheese ball.

Serve with crackers or pita chips!!!


National DIY Day

Happy Easter Weekend!!

 

One week from today will be a day for all of the crafty lovers nationwide.  I am so excited to tell you all about the first National DIY Day.  I am partnering with Craft Box Girls to help launch the first DIY Day.  There is a national day for everything you can think of from pound cake day to wine day.  So, the team at Craft Box Girls decided to day a national day for all of the craft lovers.

The mission of National DIY Day is to create a movement that brings people of all ages, races, and demographics together to inspire one another and encourage through hand crafting.

Making things and crafting can be so much fun and help you express your style!  Happiness is Homemade!!

I will be helping host the event here in Birmingham, AL on April 02, 2016 at Neighborhood Barre 1pm-4pm.  This family friendly event is free and is for all ages.  I hope you join us for this wonderful event!!  Happy Crafting!
